VR Shooting Game Banner 1000px

This is the output of our just for fun participation at Global Game Jam 2016 – an Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Space Shooting Game (created only in 48 hours). The good thing about this is – this game will run even on device w/o GYROSCOPE [that will only require the image below] – Its ready to play – though there might still be some bug at the moment – we will still continue on making this even better game (later)

SO CLICK ANY OF THE PHOTO TO GO TO GOOGLE PLAYSTORE (DOWNLOAD & INSTALL – THEN ENJOY)

Hand-tracking using Plain Webcam great for Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality uses

As the age of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality is fast approaching, there are tons of devices coming out such as Head Mounted Displays (HMD) like Google Cardboard, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Hololens, Epson Moverio, ODG, and SpaceGlasses. Also, tons of attachments for users control such as Haptics, Leapmotion, SmellVR, Rides, Etc.

But all these are still not available to the public yet as most of the above mentioned devices releases are for developers only as of now.

So me and my team do some research and development in order to bring the “touch experience” to VR and AR using only plain camera (either web cam or the mobile devices back/front cam).

To be cont… busy awhile – client meeting – will be right back

The future of teaching/training – the Augmented Reality way

And so, we want to teach people the better way or atleast give some instructions that they will actually understand and enjoy 🙂

The video above is a simple augmented reality app for training and education – created by team ARVR unit of Blast Asia Inc. http://blastasia.com/ (im so proud to be the team leader of the group)

Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Education App

My team recently created a Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Education App – its a simple VR AR FlashCard, very primitive and yet so easy to use (yah requires Google Cardboard as of now – but we will make a one that wont need Google Cardboard.

This app is great for toddlers and preschoolers. Parents and teachers will find this app very handy and a non boring to teach the basic ALPHABET as when the Flash card is seen and processed – an amazing 3d object will pop out in the virtual world (such as A = Apple, B = Banana) and some 3d objects are even animated and can be played with. See this video (yah you have to print the flashcard or let it be like on the video, u better use a projector for the whole class (more students) to experience it.

Here’s the playstore link

Google Cardboard, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality :)

Me and my team just created something 🙂

We combined Google Cardboard, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.

Here is what we come up 🙂 Download the app here

install the app, it will open a your mobile phone camera with split view (stereoscopic mode) then let is see image target below (CLSU logo)

image_tracker_vbuttons

Noticed the colored squares (with rounded corner) – yes they are buttons – try pointing your finger on any of it and notice the TEXT below the interface is identifying which button is selected/pressed. Note: the button will react only if the camera (mobile/tablet) is from around 12 to 20 inches away from the image target.

Bonus: Hand tracking (at basic as of the moment) You can tickle the logo – simply poke it and it will move depending on the direction and speed of the tickle/poke.

We will create a video of it soon 🙂
