UP Diliman 3d virtual tour at 3dxploration.com

Once again, team artsdigitalmedia.com made another 3d interactive virtual tour, and this time its the University of the Philippines, Diliman famous shrine.

Actually, the 3d file pattern came from 3D Philippines Initiative which is in Sketchup format for Google Earth. We extract the 3d file and rebuilt it using open source 3d authoring tools & utilities to comply with the web browser standards, then we program it using simulation engines for the collision & physics features.

We are hoping that all Pilipino will support our project http://3dxploration.com/ for this venture is created for every Pilipino.

Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality inside Flash (so called FLAR) – this is the technology behind NINTENDO WII. The tech makes the camera analyze the real world or the things it sees, and produces what is programmed with it. And with this sample we will show 3d objects once the camera see the marker (photo below).

Make sure you have working web camera attached to use this interface. Print the photo (marker) below and show it at the web camera. You will see 3d objects will pop out (laptops) and this 3d objects will follow the coordinates of the photo (marker) 🙂 COOL.. try swaying the photo marker using ur hands 🙂

NOTE: 3D OBJECTS MAY TAKE SOMETIME TO LOAD, SO PLEASE WAIT A WHILE 🙂
